There are many good reasons to visit Cuba, but for many one of the most important will be - beautiful Cuban beaches. Huge areas of pristine white sand, warm weather and turquoise water welcome tourists all year round, since the average temperature rarely drops below 21 degrees Celsius. No matter what part of the country you choose to relax, you are guaranteed to enjoy the time spent relaxing on the beach.

1. Cayo Jutias

Not many foreign tourists visit Cayo Jutias Beach, which is located west of Vinales. Come here to eat lobsters, drink rum and see how Cubans are having fun on the beach.

2. Varadero

The most famous beach of Cuba stretches over 19 kilometers and is surrounded by numerous all-inclusive resort complexes. If dancing lessons, aerobics classes and games held by the local resorts are not to your liking, go explore the natural attractions of the surrounding areas, including sea caves and coral reefs.

3. Playa Pilar

Many people are settled in large hotels in Cayo Coco, but much less prefer to go to Cayo Guillermo. Although it is much calmer here, you can easily find a place on the Playa Pilar beach to soak up the sunshine. An interesting fact is that the beach is named after the yacht of the writer Ernest Hemingway, since he often came here on the island

4. Playa Ancon

If you are in the colonial city of Trinidad and want to spend some time on the beach, then Playa Ancon will be the perfect place. This is one of the best beaches on the southern coast of Cuba, a great place with beautiful straw umbrellas and attractive golden sand, here you can go snorkeling and diving in the nearby reefs.

5. Cayo Santa Maria

Cayo Santa Maria Beach, quite popular with newlyweds, is a delightful place on the northern coast of Cuba. The long, scenic sandy beaches are famous places for swimming, scuba diving and watching the sunsets, which are said to be especially impressive. It also offers a beautiful view of the luxury hotels, which are located nearby. Santa Maria has a 13-kilometer public beach, so if the sea and sand are your goal, then you are here.

6. Maria La Gorda

In the most western point of Cuba lies this stunning palm beach, a favorite place for divers. He was named one of the top ten dive spots in all of Latin America.

7. Guardalavaca

Guardalavaca is a typical example of a classic Cuban beach: swaying palm trees, kilometers of white sand and clear blue sea. The accumulation of small cafes, bars and a bustling street market are only minor distractions from the vast sandy sea, which, as they say, is much less cluttered with algae. Vacationers can walk for several hours before reaching the edge of the beach, which makes it an excellent choice for those who want to relax, replenish energy and get close to nature.

8. Playa Siren

Excellent 3 km long beach - the only one on the island with perfect palm trees. Almost all hotels organize ferry and bus transportation to this point of the peninsula, which is located at the western summit of Cayo Largo. In the harbor, shared by hotels, there is a restaurant, a bar and a full range of water sports, including diving, scuba diving and all kinds of boat rental from kayaks to catamarans. If the beach is crowded with people, you can arrange a boat to be taken to neighboring, desert islands, such as Cayo Rico and Cayo Iguana.

9. Playa Chiron

Playa Giron Beach is not much different from other small beaches in Cuba, there is the same coral sand and turquoise waters that cover wonderful reefs. But what makes him truly special is testimony to how the Cuban people over the years have been the victim of various attacks that he so desperately beat off.

The first attack occurred at the beginning of the 17th century by a group of pirates under the command of Drake. The result was the beheading of a pirate by residents for attempting to capture. Because of this, the Cubans decide to save the memory by baptizing the beach with the name of the pirate Giron.

10. Playa Esmeralda

Just five kilometers from the town of Guardalavaca in the eastern part of Cuba, this beautiful beach is located. If you want to pamper yourself, there are two luxury hotels that are a great place to stay. Among the amenities you will find here delicious food, drinks, water sports, as well as meet the best sunrises and take unforgettable walks on foot.
